About This Event

As in previous years, Mothers for Peace organized their Annual Garage Sale in Thornhill to raise funds for humanitarian aid in Croatia. The event invited local supporters to donate household goods, clothing, and small furnishings to be sold, with proceeds going directly to help families affected by the ongoing conflict and post-war recovery.

In a radio announcement to the community, organizers expressed both gratitude and urgency — emphasizing that continued donations were essential to sustain relief efforts. Even years after the war’s outbreak, the spirit of solidarity and compassion among the Croatian-Canadian diaspora remained strong.
