Welcome to Voices for Croatia 

This project was created in honour of the remarkable women of Mothers for Peace (Bedem Ljubavi), a group of mothers, wives and daughters whose tireless advocacy ensured that truth would never be silenced. Voices for Croatia is a living archive dedicated to preserving her letters, her words, and the movement she helped inspire.

Through this work, we honour not only Valentina’s legacy but also the shared courage and determination of all the women who fought for justice, dignity, and recognition during one of the darkest chapters in Croatia’s history. May these pages remind us of the power of unity and conscience, and of how the voices of ordinary women, raised together in truth, can leave an extraordinary mark on history.
