About This Event

This flyer announced one of the earliest grassroots humanitarian efforts by Mothers for Peace (Bedem Ljubavi) in Toronto — a community clothes and blanket drive for families devastated by the war in Croatia. The tone of the appeal is direct and deeply compassionate, reflecting the urgency of the times.

Residents across the Greater Toronto Area were asked to leave bags of donated clothing and blankets on their doorsteps to be collected and shipped overseas. The drive focused on winter and spring clothing, blankets, and other essential items, offering immediate relief to civilians suffering in war zones.
